Journalist
Wheeler Cowperthwaite has been covering real estate, growth and development since 2012 and for The Providence Journal since 2022. Areas of specialization include housing (and Affordable housing), business, transportation, labor and the economy. He previously worked at The Patriot Ledger in Quincy, Massachusetts, and the Cape Cod Times. Before that, he was the cops and courts reporter for an investigative weekly newspaper in New Mexico. He has a bachelor's in journalism and political science from the University of Nevada, Reno, home to the Reynolds School of Journalism.
